Music at 2AM
I do not stay awake till 2 AM everyday but during those days when I do, music gives me great company! Music at 2 AM sounds different and unique and there are some songs that simply stand out from the rest and make you want to listen to them at that particular time of day/night. Here are five songs that stand out for me and my 2 AM’s quite remarkable! Note: Repeated listening always ruins
1. Helicopter – Deer Hunter
Helicopter will be heard, revered and hailed as innocence that is twisted in a morbid mix of electronic and cheerful tones.
2. Shiva – Antlers
Shiva is one of those rare songs that has 2AM written all over it. Haunting and peaceful at the same time, it is best heard in the unpredictable dreary English weather or on night drive!
3. Skin of the night – M83
“Skin of the night” entices you with the veiled vocals, the rhythmic drum beat with the synths and the whole 80′s feel that the music emanates.
4. Beachy head (bonobo mix) – Bonobo
I can bet a million bucks on anybody who wouldn’t be bobbing their heads to “Beachy head”! Close your eyes and this simple composition is a perfect 2AM song.
5. Misread – Kings of Convenience
It might be 2 AM but without a song from the Kings of convenience to round the list up, late night sleep feels incomplete! Happy, depressing, simple, difficult, tender, truth,love .. the song has nothing and everything.
